Hello, it's Brad here at E trailer and today we're going to take a look at the E trailer J style kayak rack on our 2020 Toyota Tacoma. So normally when you see a kayak being hauled on the road, this isn't a normal configuration. The way that we achieve this is the use of the Inno truck bed cargo rack. Rhino-Rack Nautic Roof SUP or Kayak Carrier Review- Video
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at our Rhino Rack Nautic kayak or stand-up paddleboard carrier side loading as well as clamp on carriers here at etrailer. If you want to carry your kayak or your stand-up paddleboard, but you want something that creates a bit more of a comfortable experience for that compared to let's say your stackers or your J style carriers this might be an option for you. So this is as close to custom fit as you can get for your kayak since you have those cradles that can move back and forth to accommodate the shape of your hull. Now on the downside is you can only carry one kayak with these so if you need to carry multiple kayaks, and you need to maximize your space, this may not be the best option for you, but if you're carrying one or two kayaks, if you have the crossbar spread and you want something that can hold it nicely, securely and carefully, you might be interested in this one. So these are the clamp on side loading Rhino Rack Nautic Carriers. There's different types of Rhino Rack Nautic Carriers, there's rear loading where you load it up from the rear. more

And today we're gonna take a look at our Rhino-Rack Nautic side loading and clamp-on kayak and stand-up paddleboard carrier here on our 2017 Toyota RAV4. So this is a saddle-style carrier. So compared to a J-style carrier, where your board or your kayak will be sitting on its side, here it is lying flat on your crossbars, or rather on the saddles. I personally like this if I wanna take care of my paddleboard, because then it is supported, it's kind of a custom fit around it, and I think it makes for a more comfortable ride for the board or for the kayak. more

So this is a good kayak carrier if you are interested in sideloading your kayak, as well as having it lying down onto your bars. So compared to J-Style kayak carriers which have it on its side, this one has it on the crossbars themselves or a little bit up. So you do take up more of your crossbar space, but it's also kind of safer for your height that way. more

Hey, everybody, welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby and today we're taking a look the Thule Hullavator, here in our 2015 Nissan Pathfinder. Now, guys, kayaks can be a little heavy, especially if we find ourselves paddling, or it's just, you know, a little hard for us to actually get up, up on our roof, especially the Pathfinder already somewhat of a tall vehicle, almost at six foot range. Can be a little hard to start getting your kayaks loaded up, especially if you're paddling, it's been a long day. So this is gonna be an excellent way of giving us a nice little gas strut load assist option. That's going to make it super easy to get the kayak up on there. more

Inno Locker Watersport Carrier Review - 2017 Subaru Forester- Video
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we are looking at the Inno Locker Watersport Carrier here on our 2017 Subaru Forester. So this is a great carrier for your kayak or your boards, especially if you paddle solo sometimes, but you also want the option to bring your friends' boards if you guys want to go out to the water or to the lake. Since this does have a lock, it's also good to keep everything secure plus you don't need to use straps with this one. So this has a lock on the end and you get two keys to use with the lock. So you just put that in, rotate it, and then you can lift up on the end cap that gives you access to your kayaks or your boat. Now, if you do have a Inno Aero crossbar, that's great because it's designed to work with that crossbar. more

Hi, everyone, Aiden here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima ShowDown stand-up paddleboard and kayak carrier with lift assist here on our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Now it's gonna come with all the different pieces you need, from your carrier to your straps. It's gonna get the job done and give you a lot of assistance when you're loading up your kayak. So your strap kit's gonna consist of two that are holding down the middle of your boat, which we'll see later, and your bow and stern. So with these straps here, my only gripe with them is that they come down to an S hook here, which is pretty common for a lot of kayak carriers. And the reason I don't like that too much is because, more often than not, you end up needing a hood anchor up front, which is fine, it's just another thing you have to pick up. more

And today we're taking a look at the Thule JawGrip, and it's gonna be a great little solution of getting your tools out of your vehicle and onto the roof of your car. So whether it be shovels or a paddle or an axe, anything like that, we can go ahead, get them out of the vehicle, start saving us a lot of space and of course, make it nice and clean on the inside for ourselves. Right out the gate, I think one of the biggest things is this front little loader system on here. Hey, everybody, welcome to etrailer.com, I'm Bobby, and today we're taking a look at the Yakima JayLow kayak carrier here on our 2015 Subaru Forester. Now, when you're talking about kayak carriers, a lot of things to consider, obviously we want something that's gonna be nice and easy to go ahead and throw up on our roof bars, but also we are looking for a lot of good contact and making sure that our kayak is going to be sustaining any damages up there. And I think the JayLow is definitely going to be one of your more premium kayak carriers for a lot of reasons. It has all those bells and whistles you're looking for on a kayak carrier, and I think how the mounting system works, definitely start setting it way ahead of some of the other carriers in my mind. You also are going to get a pretty nice tie-down kit with it, as you can see this does do a good job of holding our kayaks in here. It does come with a bow and stern anchor strap as well, so I definitely recommend putting those on there, it's really going to help you, especially if you're doing that highway driving, that way we're not going to be feeling that lift on our kayak, and that way it's going to stay way more secure onto our carrier. more

A couple advantages you're getting from the Downloader right out of the gate, A, I am a pretty okay fan with the straps that are included. Malone Foam Block Style Kayak Carrier Review- Video
Hi, everyone, this is Angeline here at etrailer, and today we are looking at the Malone foam blocks for kayaks here at etrailer. This comes in two different ways, so you can get the deluxe kayak carrier, which comes with two foam blocks as well as tie-down straps, all that you need to tie down your kayak to your vehicle, or you can just get the foam block on its own. This comes in the size 18 inches as well as 24 inches. Malone has foam blocks in different shapes and sizes, depending on your needs. What we have here are the ones with indents towards the middle, because they are perfect for your kayaks, but if you're also trying to bring a stand-up paddleboard, we have some that are straight across, or short and squat if you have your larger boats or larger canoes. Hey, everybody, welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby, and today we're taking a look at the Yakima JayLow J-Style kayak carrier on our 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. Now, as you can see, this is gonna be a great way of getting a single or two kayaks up on our roof. Now, why that is, the JayLow has a unique position to where you actually put a second kayak right behind it. Now, if you're only hauling one kayak, you do have an 80 pound capacity limit on this kayak. However, if you're going for two, you can fit about 110 pounds, since we're not putting a lot of that weight on the cradle itself. more

Hi everyone. It's Aidan here with etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima JayLow J-style kayak carrier on our 2014 Toyota Prius V. Now J-style kayak carriers in general are going to be a really great way to carry your kayak on your roof. For a number of reasons, one they kind of hold it vertically here so you can get more objects on your crossbars. Whether that be another J-style carrier, a small roof basket, or a bike rack, and two, they hold the kayak really securely. Now, if you're looking at a way of getting the kayak to the water with you I think this is going to be a really great option for you. We are getting a nice amount of contact points on here and with the foam blockers that are underneath the kayak carrier, I think it's going to do a pretty decent job of making sure our kayaks are nice and secure and not taking any damage. One thing I'd like to point out though: the foam isn't the biggest amount on there. more

It's got a great entry point to actually start getting our kayak to the place that we want to go, you know, and also, it makes it very easy to actually get this on there.
